Welcome to “Bite Your Tongue” our Charlotte Cajun Restaurant featuring authentic New Orleans (Nawlins) cuisine right here in Charlotte, NC. Our cajun recipes (soon to be available in our Cajun cookbook) feature authentic New Orleans cajun food dishes that we served while we owned the “Bite Your Tongue - Take Out & Catering” in New Orleans, LA. Lucky for us, Katrina forced our evacuation to the wonderful city of Charlotte!

Located in the Randolph Medical Center at 1928 Randolph Road, we are centrally located to serve our breakfast, lunch and our “Gourmet-To - Go ” take home suppers. We also provide real Nawlins Style catering for your special events.

Nawlins Breakfast

Open Monday - Friday from 7 a.m. - 6 p.m., we offer one of New Orlean’s finest coffee: Community Coffee & Chicory the New Orleans Blend. We offer a breakfast sandwich on wheat toast that is awesome! We also have fresh bagels with homemade cream cheese spreads: sun-dried tomato and basil, a veggie spread and a scallion cream cheese, just to name a few. We also have homemade flavored butters: honey, cinnamon and raspberry are the most popular.

Cajun Lunch

A few items from the lunch menu include: red beans and rice, jambalaya, gumbo, a grilled salmon salad, shrimp creole, vegetarian black bean chili, and lots of delicious homemade soups. The menu items change daily. We also offer various “specials” of the day.

“Gourmet - To - Go” Take Home Supper

The “Gourmet-To-Go” is fantastic!. We offer shrimp Alix pasta, baked chicken, meatloaf, shrimp etouffee, shrimp grits, baked penne with roasted veggies, a mustard and collard green duo and lots of other “home cooked” items to choose from. Our Spinach & Artichoke dip is our number one menu item! Of course, no meal is complete without one of our desserts. Try our AWESOME white chocolate bread pudding, the carrot cake or take home some of our “BYT” cookie dough and bake a batch when you get home.
